Inês Gonçalves was born in Malaga in1964. She lives and works in Lisbon.
She attended the Photographic Training Centre, London. She works for the press on a regular basis in collaboration with several magazines and newspapers.
She collaborated as a photographer in several newspapers and magazines.
She was the editor of Photography of “Kapa” magazine from 1991 to 1992.
In 1999 she published the book "Cabo Verde", with text by João Miguel Fernandes Jorge; in 2001 “Goa: História de um Encontro” with Catarina Portas; in 2007 “Agora Luanda” in co-authorship with Kiluanje Liberdade and with texts by Delfim Sardo and José Eduardo Agualusa.
Her work is represented in various public and private collections.
